LeBron James can do literally anything on a basketball court. But making himself look cool on social media is still out of his reach.

LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. He’s also a world-class cornball. From his Taco Tuesday announcements, to stealing lines from Wayne’s World, to referring to himself as a “DILF” he’s never quite been at the cutting edge of cool, especially on social media.

The latest case in point, a subtle photo edit to an Instagram post that had the entire world rolling its eyes.

Yes, LeBron blacked out the “S” in KINGS to make sure his nickname was displayed on the side of the Kings arena in this photo. LeBron may be The King, but this right here isn’t exactly “King Sh*t”

Was LeBron James trolling the Sacramento Kings?

If his message was a shot at the Kings instead of a lame attempt to make himself look cool, it also failed on that account. The Kings beat the Lakers the day after this post 134-120, despite 31 points and 11 assists from LeBron. That gave the Lakers two losses in three days by a combined 40 points and dropped them to 13-18, 13th in the Western Conference. The Kings, on the other hand, are 17-13 and currently sixth in the West.
