The TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Michigan Wolverines in the Fiesta Bowl, and their social media team posted quite the hype video afterwards.

All glory to the Hypnotoad!

The TCU Horned Frogs have exceeded expectations this year, the first with Sonny Dykes as head coach. They may have lost in the Big 12 Championship Game, but they clinched the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff, where they would face the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines in the Fiesta Bowl. The Horned Frogs were considered the biggest underdogs in Playoff history according to Vegas, but don’t tell them that. They played like legitimate National Championship contenders.

On New Year’s Eve, TCU held off a near-epic comeback attempt by Michigan to secure the 51-45 win and a spot in the CFP National Championship Game.

With just seconds remaining in regulation and no timeouts remaining, Michigan’s offense stumbled over themselves, culminating in a frantic fourth-down play that saw quarterback J.J. McCarthy fumbling the snap and attempting numerous lateral passes to no avail.

The TCU Football social media team had, well, quite the video saved in their drafts waiting to post to troll Michigan.

TCU social team trolls Michigan after Fiesta Bowl win

The Horned Frogs made the statement of all statements on just the third drive of the game. With Michigan gaining possession of the football, Bud Clark helped put TCU on the board in the form of a pick-six. The Horned Frogs only built on their lead from there, as quarterback Max Duggan scored a one-yard touchdown run and threw a six-yard scoring pass to Taye Barber.

Despite Michigan scoring 35 points in the second half, TCU wasn’t deterred, as they scored 30 points in the final two quarters to maintain their lead and pick up the win.

Duggan completed 14-of-29 pass attempts for 225 yards and two touchdowns, while throwing two interceptions. The quarterback and Heisman Trophy runner-up ran for 57 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

The Horned Frogs also had a big game from running back Emari Demercado, who picked up 150 rushing yards and one touchdown on 17 carries.

With the Fiesta Bowl in their possession, TCU now awaits the winner of the Peach Bowl between the Georgia Bulldogs and Ohio State Buckeyes.
