There are rumors circulating around LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte regarding why he declared for the NFL Draft days before the Citrus Bowl.

Back on Dec. 5, LSU Tigers wide receiver Kayshon Boutte announced that he would not be declaring for the NFL Draft, and that he will be returning to the program next season. With that, Boutte would also be playing in this year’s Citrus Bowl, as LSU takes on the Purdue Boilermakers. Less than a month later, days before the bowl game, Boutte had a change of heart, announcing that he is declaring for the draft after all.

This had some fans wondering what caused Boutte to change his mind.

There is a rumor circulating on the internet, which we must stress has not been confirmed by the school or anyone else. Those rumors? A sex party involving members of the LSU program.

The Old Row Texas A&M social media account posted a supposed message involving a rumor that there was a sex party during LSU’s stay in Atlanta ahead of the SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs. The message said that there were at least five participants were identified, Boutte being among them. Other rumored participants included members of the coaching staff and recruiting department. The message claims that Boutte was “dismissed.”

Again, these are rumors that are not confirmed yet, so take them with a grain of salt.

Boutte announced his decision to declare for the NFL Draft on Dec. 28. When speaking with the media on Sunday, LSU head coach Brian Kelly explained his decision to list Boutte as “unavailable.”

“Unavailable, as you know, means I can’t speak to some of the reasons behind it or I would have been more specific,” said Kelly, h/t the Daily Advertiser.

This season, Boutte recorded 48 receptions for 538 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. In his three years with the program, Boutte caught 131 passes for 1,782 yards and 16 touchdowns in 27 games.
