CFB Twitter trolls fraudulent Michigan for losing to TCU team exposed by Georgia
TCU wasn’t the only team taking a beating in the National Championship Game. CFB Twitter went after Michigan for losing to the Horned Frogs.
TCU’s magical run this season came to a crashing halt in the National Championship Game against Georgia.
The Bulldogs outclassed the Horned Frogs in every department as they went into halftime leading 38-7. TCU had one chunk play that led to a touchdown but couldn’t move the ball otherwise. Georgia’s offense, led by Brock Bowers’ 102 receiving yards in the first half, looked like they were a hot knife slicing through butter up against the Horned Frog defense.
The blowout had more than a few people wondering: How on earth did Michigan lose to this TCU team?

Michigan was a touchdown favorite over TCU, so they were expected to take care of business against the Horned Frogs. Instead, they looked shell-shocked early. JJ McCarthy threw a pick-six to open the scoring before Max Duggan gave his team a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. TCU lead 21-6 at halftime as Michigan settled for field goals.
The Wolverines fought back to make it a more back-and-forth affair in the second half but they couldn’t get the better of TCU. They ultimately lost 51-45.
Georgia showed what a team that executed well and came in with the right game plan could accomplish against the Horned Frogs. Where Michigan made everything look difficult, the Bulldogs made it look easy.
That shouldn’t be lost in the discussion around the Michigan-TCU result. With Georgia playing as they did on Monday night, no one was going to beat them, not Michigan, not Ohio State, not TCU, not Alabama.
