Adam Thielen’s wife shuts down ‘Viking for life’ label
By Ryan Heckman
Adam Thielen’s wife has been signaling a possible exit in Minnesota as of late.
Wildcard Weekend did not go as planned for the Vikings, who were upset by Daniel Jones and the Giants on Sunday.
An early exit in the postseason was a sour way to end such a sweet season for Minnesota, but they must now face the reality in front of them and be honest with themselves.
There are decisions to make, and some are not so easy.
Maybe it’s just the emotional outpouring after a playoff loss, but some are even questioning whether superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson will remain in Minnesota. And, Jefferson isn’t the only receiver in question right now.
Fan favorite and lifelong Minnesota Vikings Adam Thielen could be on his way out.
Adam Thielen’s time with the Minnesota Vikings may be up, and his wife is only fueling those rumors
Following the loss, Thielen’s wife posted to her Instagram and hinted that their time in Minnesota may be coming to an end.
Since then, Mrs. Thielen has responded to comments on her Instagram in regard to the business aspect of the game and her family being Vikings for life. Her responses included one that read, “…not the business side necessarily! Adam wants opportunities to show what he can do and feel valued as a receiver so we’ll support him wherever that may be.”
You might remember Thielen’s heartwarming story from Minnesota State Mankato to NFL star. He is a prime example of a hometown kid who never gives up, pursuing his dream and finally making it happen for himself.
But now, at 32 years old, Thielen could be moving on to a new home. The Vikings have a possible “out” in his contract this year, but could also opt to try and trade him first.
The veteran wideout has not gone over the 1,000-yard mark since 2018 but did finish with double-digit touchdowns in 2021 (10). If he is to continue his career elsewhere, chances are, Thielen will be looking for an opportunity to win. At his age, that’s likely what matters most.
