By signing five-star Jaden Rashada, these five college teams could be getting better in a hurry.

With Jaden Rashada getting out of his national letter of intent, somebody else will have a chance to land the former Florida signee.

According to the 247Sports Composite Index, Rashada is the No. 6 player from California, the No. 7 quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 59 overall player in this past cycle. Rashada initially committed to Miami on June 26, 2022 before flipping to Florida on Nov. 10, 2022. He was released from his Florida LOI after rumors of him no longer getting $13 million from NIL surfaced.

His finalists when he originally committed to Florida were California, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas A&M. Keep in mind former Ducks offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham is now calling the shots at his alma mater, Arizona State, as well as Washington being without a long-term answer at quarterback after this year with Michael Penix Jr. following Sam Huard jumping into the portal.

No doubt about it, Rashada will have suitors, but where will he go? How about these five teams?

Proximity and getting in early on Jaden Rashada could bring him over to Cal

One dark horse program to keep an eye on potentially landing Rashada would have to be Cal. The five-star quarterback is from the Bay Area. Though neither Power Five program from the area is having a good run of it of late, Rashada has a deep relationship with Justin Wilcox and his staff due to the Golden Bears getting in early on his recruitment. Maybe they can land the Bay Area native?

NIL will not get Rashada to Berkeley, but the Golden Bears are in dire need of some juice. One could argue that Wilcox has the hottest seat in the Pac-12 entering this season. With a five-star hometown kid under center, Cal could finally have some momentum as a program. If all goes according to plan, Rashada could be for Wilcox what Jared Goff was for Sonny Dykes years ago.

Should Rashada want to stay closer to home for his college ball, Cal would be the one to monitor.
