The Utah Jazz got a win on Monday, 126-125 over Minnesota, Wednesday, 126-103 over the Los Angeles Clippers, and now they’ll go for three straight tonight at home against Brooklyn.

For the Nets they’re doing their best to hold onto a top four seed in the Eastern Conference without Kevin Durant, but yesterday they fell to the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix, 117-112. The loss came despite Kyrie Irving dropping 30 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Brooklyn comes in at 27-17 against the 24-24 Utah Jazz who are in sixth place in the Western Conference. Though they have the worse record, with no Kevin Durant for Brooklyn, the Jazz are favorites on their home floor.

Nets vs. Jazz prediction and pick

When Steve Nash was the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, there were constant questions about who was actually going to be on the court, now those questions are mostly gone.

Of course, KD is injured and that’s an issue, but that’s not a question of resting stars or Ben Simmons’ questionable back injuries.

Under Jacque Vaughn they seem to be playing, so I’m not sure we’ll see a load management situation for Brooklyn in the second night of a back-to-back. That doesn’t mean I’m backing the Nets, though.

Durant went out in a 102-101 win over Miami on Jan. 8, since then, Brooklyn has lost four straight games, and it is 0-4 ATS in those four games. In fact the Nets on an 0-5 ATS streak coming into tonight.

On the other side, Utah continues to outperform Vegas’s expectations. The Jazz are 10-1 ATS against teams with a winning percentage greater than .600. They’re also 5-1 ATS in their last six.

The trends aren’t the only reason to fade the Nets tonight. They’re also 30th in offensive rating over the most recent four game stretch. Kyrie Irving is supposed to be a second star for Brooklyn, but without KD this team is struggling to keep its head above water.
