5 teams that should call Bills about Stefon Diggs trade amid tantrum, No. 4: Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are entering an important offseason, as they have to try and negotiate a contract with quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Prior to the 2022 season, Jackson reportedly turned down a five-year, $250 million contract, which guaranteed $113 million. The two sides then decided to punt negotiations into this offseason. Jackson played well in his contract year, but he suffered a PCL sprain back in Week 13, forcing him to miss their final five regular-season games and their Wild Card Round game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh noted at the team’s end-of-season press conference that Jackson isn’t going anywhere this offseason. Not only that, but Jackson will be involved in the team’s search for a new offensive coordinator to replace Greg Roman.
Bringing in a superstar wide receiver like Diggs could help keep Jackson in Baltimore.
5 teams that should call Bills about Stefon Diggs trade amid tantrum, No. 3: Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions shocked the world in the 2022 season, as they are a team with a very promising future. They finished the campaign with a 9-8 record, their first winning season since 2017. Not only that, but they helped eliminate the rival Green Bay Packers from playoff contention in Week 18.
Detroit has the offense set with quarterback Jared Goff having a strong bounce-back year, and with a potent passing attack of Amon Ra St. Brown, Kalif Raymond, and D.J. Chark. While they could lose Chark to free agency, they still have Jameson Williams on the roster, where he can play his first full season in 2023.
The Lions are in the position to make a big move this offseason. Not only do they have over $18 million in cap space available to them, but they have two first-round picks this season, thanks in part to the Matthew Stafford trade. They should make a move to put their offense over the top by adding another receiver.
