Oklahoma vs. TCU prediction and odds for Tuesday, January 24 (Trust Sooners as underdogs)
By Reed Wallach
The grueling Big 12 schedule continues for every team on Tuesday as Oklahoma travels to Fort Worth to face TCU, who is coming off one of the most impressive wins of the season, beating Kansas on the road by 23 points.
Now, the Horned Frogs return home to face Oklahoma, who has been sticking close to opponents all season in league play, but sit at 2-5 as they are struggling to turn tight games into victories. The Sooners lost a back-and-forth game to Baylor on Saturday at home, can they keep pace with the NCAA Tournament bubble and grab a massive upset victory?

Oklahoma vs. TCU prediction and pick
TCU loves to push the ball in transition, but Oklahoma is an elite transition defense, top 20 in transition rate allowed so this game can be played in the half court.
While that’s not TCU’s point of attack typically, they have the shortest offensive possession length in Big 12 play per KenPom, they should be able to get going at the rim, where they possess the second highest rim rate in the country. Oklahoma won’t turn you over (last in Big 12 turnover rate), but they do have a compact defense that is elite at the rim.
TCU is fresh off one of the most impressive shot making performances of the year against Kansas on the road, so maybe there is some regression coming there way against an OU team that has been competitive all season with their efficient shot making, the best two-point offense in Big 12 play at 55.5%.
The Sooners are 2-5 in Big 12 play, but four of those losses have come by four or less. The team’s methodical tempo mixed with shot making has made them a good underdog bet at over a few buckets all season.
This is a good sell high spot on TCU as well following their win at Allen Fieldhouse over the weekend.
