The NFC Championship Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers got chippy before kickoff, as A.J. Brown and Jimmie Ward had to be separated.
On Sunday, the top two teams in the NFC compete for the Conference Championship, as the Philadelphia Eagles host the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles made it to this point after going 14-3 on the year, and getting past the New York Giants in the Divisional Round. As for the 49ers, they finished the year 13-4, and got through the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys for the first two rounds of the playoffs.
Ahead of kickoff, things got a bit chippy between the Eagles and 49ers.
During pregame warmups, 49ers safety Jimmie Ward walked past Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and appeared to bump into him. The two got into a shoving match, exchanged words, and had to be separated.

This will certainly be something to watch when the Eagles high-powered offense takes on the 49ers’ top-tier defense on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles are looking to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2017, where they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 behind an incredible performance by Nick Foles. That win gave Philadelphia their first ever Lombardi Trophy. They are looking to win their second, thanks in part to the roster built by general manager Howie Roseman.
As for the 49ers, they are looking to make it back to the big game for the first time since the 2019 season where they lost 31-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs after blowing a 20-10 lead. The 49ers have lost two of their most recent Super Bowl appearances.
Who will be competing in the Super Bowl between Brown and Ward? We’ll find out later in the day.
