Tempers were flaring throughout the NFC Championship Game between the 49ers and Eagles but a brawl started after Trent Williams body-slammed a DB.

Playing at a raucous Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, there were always bound to be some heated exchanges during the NFC Championship Game between the Eagles and 49ers on Sunday. We saw some pregame words thrown back and forth between the two teams to back that up too.

But as the Eagles pulled away from the 49ers late in the game, tempers really started to flare, particularly for San Francisco. After Christian McCaffrey was tackled on a fourth-quarter run, though, things reached the boiling point.

Amidst a ton of pushing and shoving (and perhaps a few jabs), Eagles safety K’Von Wallace wouldn’t let go of 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel. That’s when San Francisco offensive tackle Trent Williams stepped in and too matters into his own hands.

He picked Wallace up from behind and rag-dolled him to the ground with a textbook bodyslam he must have learned from WWE fanatic George Kittle.

Obviously, that escalated things into a brawl. The refs threw a billion flags and had to call on the PA system for both teams to get to the sidelines and stay there.

Williams and Wallace were both ejected from the game, but that was of little consequence at that point. The game had all but been decided as the 49ers took the 31-7 loss as their quarterback injuries became too much to handle at this stage of the playoffs.

Now Philadelphia is moving on to Super Bowl LVII where they will play the winner of the Bengals vs. Chiefs matchup in the AFC Championship Game. Trent Williams’ season ends with an ejection and a loss that will be hard to swallow.
