Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs took a shot at the Cincinnati Bengals and Eli Apple after their AFC Championship Game defeat.

Stefon Diggs is one of the best wide receivers in football, though his Buffalo Bills team lost to the Cincinnati Bengals just over a week ago. Diggs was clearly unhappy, and was seen pacing the sidelines during the game.

Diggs didn’t want much to do with his teammates or the media after the game, and left about five minutes after the clock struck triple zeroes.

Still, the Buffalo wideout got some sweet justice when Eli Apple and the Bengals lost just a week later. Apple appeared to make light of the Damar Hamlin injury, and retracted his symbolism just a few hours later. Safe to say he made a few enemies within the Bills organization.

Stefon Diggs throws shade at Bengals, Eli Apple

Eli Apple caught strays after the Chiefs defeated his Bengals in the AFC Championship. Most of those shots came from the Kansas City sideline, though by no means were they alone. Apple has a habit of running his mouth and talking smack, and when he’s on the losing end of a one-on-one battle, the opponent tends to notice.

When Patrick Mahomes wife is taking shots, you know you angered the wrong fanbase. Apple is a frequent target, but some of this seems excessive.

Apple is a free agent at the end of this season, and could receive a new contract elsewhere. Despite the tough ending, the Ohio State product actually played his way back into NFL relevance. Apple is a solid depth cornerback, and will receive playing time in Cincinnati or elsewhere.

For his sake, though, it might be best to avoid giving a looming dynasty bulletin-board material.
