Travis Kelce decided to enjoy some chicken tenders at the Kansas State-Kansas basketball game and the Chiefs TE instantly became a new meme.

New meme just dropped — tell your friends. This one comes courtesy of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Yes, he’s now preparing for another Super Bowl in just under two weeks when he, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will head to Glendale to face off with the Philadelphia Eagles. Kelce will be looking for his second ring in that contest but, on Tuesday night, he was looking for more dipping sauce.

Kelce was in attendance for Tuesday night’s Sunflower Showdown on the hardwood with the Kansas Jayhawks hosting the Kansas State Wildcats at Allen Fieldhouse. And as any fan would, he was sitting courtside enjoying a nice snack from the concession stand: some chicken tenders.

It was the ferocity and passion that he devoured the sweet tendies that had fans laughing at the moment.

To be clear, Kelce was doing more at the game than just enjoying (and thoroughly so, according to the video evidence) some chicken tenders. He also took some time to fire up the crowd in Lawrence with some of his trademark charisma.

The Jayhawks fans were loving it and, apparently, so were the players. After falling in an overtime thriller to rival K-State earlier in the season, Kansas came out and jumped out to a double-digit lead at halftime and was in complete control of the action.

It’s been quite a few days for Kelce, though. Not only did he help the Chiefs get past the Bengals in an AFC Championship Game that went down to the wire, but he then cut an epic promo that The Rock would be proud of on the Cincinnati mayor after the latter had engaged in trash talk earlier in the week.

That’s a busy week. He earned those tendies. And if he has to become a meme to do so, so be it.
