The 2023 draft class is loaded with talent — Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson and more. Who has the best NBA Draft Lottery odds today?

The 2023 draft class is shaping up to be incredibly special. Victor Wembanyama is the consensus top pick for the moment but there are other players who could knock him off his pedestal and plenty of future stars in the lottery range.

Our latest NBA Draft Big Board has detailed notes on guard Scoot Henderson, explosive twins Ausar and Amen Thompson, Nick Smith Jr. of Arkansas, Michigan’s Jett Howard and more. We’re still months away from the end of the regular season and the actual NBA Draft Lottery which will lock in the order. But we can already see things taking shape and identify the teams that are likely to be picking toward the top.

Current NBA Draft lottery odds

  1. Houston Rockets — 14.0 percent
  2. Detroit Pistons — 14.0 percent
  3. San Antonio Spurs — 14.0 percent
  4. Charlotte Hornets — 12.5 percent
  5. Orlando Magic — 10.5 percent
  6. Toronto Raptors — 9.0 percent
  7. Orlando Magic (via Bulls) — 7.5 percent
  8.  Indiana Pacers — 5.3 percent
  9. New Orleans Pelicans (via Lakers) — 5.2 percent
  10. Oklahoma City Thunder — 2.2 percent
  11. Portland Trail Blazers — 2.2 percent
  12. Washington Wizards — 2.1 percent
  13. Los Angeles Lakers (via Pelicans) — 0.8 percent
  14. Utah Jazz — 0.7 percent

Since the NBA Draft Lottery odds were flattened at the top for the 2019 draft, the three teams with the worst records in the league have an equal chance at the No. 1 pick. Since the lottery was instituted in 1985, the Clippers and Magic have benefited the most, each winning the lottery four times. The 76ers and Cavaliers have each won the lottery three times.

The NBA Draft Lottery will be held on May 16, 2023.
