One signing to get Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett another weapon: Jarvis Landry

The Steelers offense can function well with guys like George Pickens and Diontae Johnson on the outside, but Pickett could use a sure-handed slot receiver.

Jarvis Landry had a down year in his lone season with the Saints last year, but that was more due to an injury and the New Orleans offense being just plain bad overall. He’s no stranger to 100-catch seasons and is a 5-time Pro Bowler. At this point in his career, he wants to win.

Pittsburgh arguably has a top tier defense when it’s healthy, and should Pickett take another step, the Steelers could be right back in the conversation in 2023. Landry is a pro’s pro and would give Pickett as safe a target in the slot as he could ask for.

The 30-year-old Landry likely has a couple of years left, so long as he remains healthy. His veteran presence could help a young, developing quarterback like Pickett and he’d be a welcomed addition.
