Sabah Homasi and Brennan Ward squared off to start Bellator 290 on CBS.
Brennan Ward and Sabah Homasi did not waste a second of time in the first round of their Bellator 290 clash. Ward, trying to restart his MMA career after taking off five years due to addiction issues drew Homasi, who like Ward, is a finishing machine.
The first round saw a lot of high-paced striking, with each man trying to use their grappling skills to deter and slow down the pace of the fight but to no avail. Blood was always pouring from the fighters by the time the first round ended, highlighting just how much violence was demonstrated in the first five minutes.
Ward opened up the second with a barrage of strikes, but Homasi was able to get distance with a solid strike. Ward would not be deterred and would drop Homasi before opening him up with a series of strikes on the ground, bloodying Homasi. A huge kick from Ward stunned Homasi and dropped him to the ground, where Ward would apply ground strikes until the referee waved off the fight, giving Ward the TKO victory.
Fans had a lot to say about Brennan Ward’s win.
