The baseball offseason has heated up, as Yu Darvish and Cristian Javier became the latest pitchers to sign long-term contract extensions.

The MLB offseason was quiet — or so we thought. On Friday, the Houston Astros signed star right-hander Cristian Javier to a five-year contract extension. The Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to a one-year contract with veteran outfielder David Peralta. Just a day earlier, star right-hander Yu Darvish and the San Diego Padres agreed to a six-year, $102 million contract extension.

Here’s a breakdown of each deal, via major-league sources:

Cristian Javier, Houston Astros

The full breakdown of the five-year, $64 million contract, per sources:

2023: $3 million (plus a $2 million signing bonus).

2024: $7 million.

2025: $10 million.

2026: $21 million.

2027: $21 million.

Javier will become a free agent for the first time in his career at age-30. The deal contains awards bonuses and escalators based on Cy Young finish.

David Peralta, Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers, who had been on the lookout for a veteran outfielder, agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract with David Peralta that includes $1.5 million incentives. The deal, which was agreed to on Wednesday, will become official once Peralta takes a physical on Monday.

Yu Darvish, San Diego Padres

The full breakdown of Yu Darvish’s six-year, $102 million contract, per sources:

Signing bonus: $6 million.

2023: $24 million.

2024: $15 million.

2025: $20 million.

2026: $15 million.

2027: $14 million.

2028: $14 million.

The deal also includes a no-trade clause.
