Trey Wingo spoke with Stacking the Box during Super Bowl week about his role at Caesars Sportsbook, the Special Olympics, and of course, the Super Bowl.

Speaking with Malcom Harris-Gowdie and Matt Verderame on Stacking the Box at Radio Row during Super Bowl week, Trey Wingo reminisced on his ESPN days and his favorite ‘This is SportsCenter’ commercials while also talking about the impact charitable causes like the Ronald McDonald House and Special Olympics have had on his life.

Wingo joined Harris-Gowdie and Verderame to talk about his role with Caesars Sportsbook as Chief Trends Officer and Brand Ambassador where he helps bettors understand the odds through content.

Matt asked Wingo what his favorite ‘This is SportsCenter’ commercial was, and of course, the first one that came to mind was one he was in. But he actually likes it because it briefly features his children:

"“Well, the first one is personal. I was in it, and it was Jerry Stackhouse making fun of my name. And we shot it at my desk, and he’s just sittin’ down, he’s like, ‘seriously man, what’s your real name?’ I’m like, ‘It’s Trey Wingo, that’s literally my name.’ And he’s just [like], ‘Say it again!’ He just starts laughing his head off. But what I like most about that is that they shot it at my desk. And if you look at Jerry in that commercial… When he’s laughing at my name there are pictures of my kids when they were like three and seven over his shoulder.”"

Wingo also talked about one with a few ESPN broadcasters and Georghe Muresan, a 7-foot-7 center who were awkwardly dancing in the ESPN offices.

He went on to talk with Malcom, a Special Olympics athlete, and FanSided’s NFL insider Matt Verderame about his love for Special Olympics and his favorite thing about it: The chance it affords individuals to compete.

"“What the Special Olympics has done over the years is allowed so many players, like yourself, to have the opportunity to go out there and compete. And that’s all you ask for, right? When people say why do you think losing on Championship Sunday is worse than losing in the Super Bowl? Because everyone just wants the opportunity to compete for that ring, for that opportunity.”"

Wingo rolled with the Chiefs from the start of the season and picked the Chiefs to win the game, despite believing the Eagles were the better team.
