Patrick Mahomes’ playoff stats are already comparable to Tom Brady’s, putting him in range to overtake the postseason GOAT.

Tom Brady’s playoff success is matched in impressiveness only by his longevity.

With a second Super Bowl under his belt, Patrick Mahomes already has a resumé to rival Brady’s at this point in his career. All he needs is the second part to truly rival the former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback in postseason greatness.

A user on Reddit pointed out Mahomes’ impressive record relative to Brady at the same point in his career.

Patrick Mahomes is coming for Tom Brady’s title of playoff GOAT

At 27 years old, Brady had a 6-0 record in the playoffs with 11 touchdowns to three interceptions. He had three Super Bowl wins.

Currently 27, Mahomes is 11-3 in the playoffs with 35 playoff touchdowns with seven interceptions. He has two Super Bowl wins.

The hard part will be keeping it up. After all, Brady played significantly longer than most quarterbacks.

Brady appeared in the playoffs across two decades. He was 35-13 with 88 postseason passing touchdowns.

Mahomes has been exceptional in the first six seasons of his career. He needs 24 more playoff wins, 53 more passing touchdowns and five more Super Bowl wins to match Brady. Obviously, that’s a lot of work to do.

Still, at the rate Mahomes is currently operating, he has a shot to challenge the GOAT. It really just depends on how healthy he can stay and how long he feels the fire to compete at the highest levels.
