NFL rumors: Raiders sound like a team who could use Derek Carr
According to the Raiders GM Dave Ziegler:
"“We’re in charge of filling the most important position on the team,” Ziegler said. “There’s some pressure that comes along with that, and however we fill it, it doesn’t mean we’re going to have an immediate answer this year. But, at the end of the day, we have to have an answer in some form or fashion. There’s pressure that comes along with it. That’s also part of the excitement too.”"
The Raiders not knowing what they are going to do at quarterback. Interesting. They should definitely be in the running for every veteran quarterback available this offseason. Aaron Rodgers should be on their list. Perhaps Jimmy Garoppolo. Maybe they should also consider Derek Carr?

Yeah, Vegas is looking sillier and sillier. First, they won’t fire Josh McDaniels because they’re too broke. Then they get rid of Derek Carr, in part, because they’re too broke.
And now they could really use a player like Derek Carr, the player they just cut.
Being a Raiders fan is such a sad, sad existence.
If Vegas goes down the stopgap path for a year in between Carr and whoever is really next, they could look to the depths of the near-backup world.
Baker Mayfield? Sam Darnold? Teddy Bridgewater? Mason Rudolph?
That seems like the tier the Raiders have put themselves in contention for this offseason when it comes to under center.
