NFL mock draft: 3 teams that can maximize Jalin Hyatt at the next level
By John Buhler
Joining Brian Daboll’s team could be what it takes to turn Jalin Hyatt into a star
Besides trying to figure out if Daniel Jones is the guy there or not (is he?), the best thing the New York Giants can do is to address the wide receiver position. I mean, they made a GOB Bluth huge mistake by drafting and then trading Kadarius Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs. He was great in Florida, but what happened in the Big Apple? Regardless, just draft Hyatt at No. 25 in round one.
What seems to have worked in recent years for the G-Men is if they overthink it in the draft process, they get burned. Should Hyatt still be on the board in the mid-20s, then he is definitely worth taking a flier on, especially because y’all will have the fifth-year option in your back pocket, something that was not handed out to the former No. 6 overall pick coming out of Duke University.
Overall, this is all about getting a blue-chip receiver into Brian Daboll’s hands. He will get the most out of the quarterback position. He flourished during his one year at Alabama and help tame the bucking bronco that was Josh Allen coming out of Wyoming with the Buffalo Bills. Even if Jones is not their guy long-term, it is worth investing in a wide receiver who can stretch the field in Hyatt.
New York has to remain aggressive if the Giants want to keep pace in a very competitive division.
