NFL rumors: Chiefs add on the defensive line
Typically, if a team has the chance to add a former 49ers defensive lineman on the cheap, they should do it.
Now, $10 million per season may not seem cheap to some, but at a premium position in this market? Heck, Brett Veach just got a steal in Charles Omenihu. While Omenihu’s base sack stats aren’t all that impressive, he does pressure the quarterback quite often and makes an impact in other ways. As Arrowhead Addict’s Josh Fann points out, you have to look ‘under the hood’ with Omenihu.

His pass rush win rate was among the best in the NFL last season and that is a more telling fact about Omenihu than just his sacks. In the end, pressures are king, and Omenihu has been one of the best in the league at generating pressure recently thanks to his quick get-off at the line of scrimmage.”"

By no means was it a flawless addition by Veach, but with Chris Jones hopefully receiving a contract extension this offseason, it makes the Chiefs defensive line even better heading into a potential Super Bowl repeat campaign.
