Projected WWE WrestleMania 39 match card after March 24 SmackDown

There was one new match added to the WrestleMania 39 card on the March 24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

We are officially a little over a week away from WrestleMania 39. On Saturday, Apr. 1, and Sunday, Apr. 2, WWE hosts their biggest show of the year from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

The card for WrestleMania was already pretty stacked entering this week, having 11 matches confirmed for the show. This past Monday on Raw, an Undisputed WWE Tag Team championship match between the Uso’s (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) and the team of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens was added to the big event.

Later on in the week, specifically on the March 24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, there was one more match added, and it was one that was teased for the past few weeks.

Let’s take a look at the newest match added, and the entire confirmed card for WrestleMania 39.

WWE WrestleMania 39 match card: Confirmed matches

Here are the matches that were confirmed just during this latest episode of SmackDown:

• Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio

Once again Rey Mysterio was pestered by his son Dominik for a match at WrestleMania. This week, Dominik cost his father in a match against LA Knight. As Rey walked away once again, Dominik began taunting his mother and sister, who were sitting ringside for the show. After Dominik called his sister “stupid” and told his mother to “shut up,” Rey finally snapped, striking him. Rey said after disrespecting them, he accepts Dominik’s challenge to a match at WrestleMania.

Early on in the show, WWE announced that the United States championship match between Austin Theory and John Cena will open up Night One of WrestleMania on Saturday, Apr. 1.

There are now two more confirmed teams for the fatal four way women’s tag team WrestleMania Showcase match. The team of Shotzi and Natalya defeated Lacey Evans and Xia Li to qualify. After the match, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler announced that they were added to the match as well. Now, there is only one more spot remaining in the match.
