Cam Newton is looking to make an NFL comeback, and there’s a good chance that a team will give him a chance.

Earlier this week, veteran quarterback Cam Newton posted an Instagram video announcing that he would be throwing at Auburn’s Pro Day. He expressed immense confidence in the video stating that there are not 32 quarterbacks better than him, so it is clear that the 33-year-old believes that he can still be an effective QB in the NFL.

Auburn’s Pro Day was on Tuesday (March 21), and Newton still does not have a job at the time of this writing. That is not to say that he failed to impress though, as he received praise for his arm strength and mobility. A contract could be on the way because of it.

Let’s now discuss three teams who could take a chance on the former MVP now.

Teams that should give Cam Newton his comeback chance: Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are a team to watch closely in the Newton sweepstakes. Ryan Tannehill is coming off of a rough season and has been the subject of trade rumors, while Malik Willis is the only other QB on their roster. This could open the door to the Titans browsing the QB free-agent market and taking a chance on Newton.

If the Titans are unable to find Tannehill a new home, they could enter the 2023 season with a one-two punch between him and Newton. Newton would provide the Titans with another experienced QB, and he could even be in the running to take over Tannehill’s starting job if he impresses at camp.

Even if the Titans embark on a retooling period, they still have a chance of winning the AFC South division when noting that it is not particularly deep. Therefore, adding another option like Newton to their current group could be an avenue worth exploring. This is especially so if a new QB can help the Titans get things back on track in 2023.
