Jake Paul has unexpected connection to Aaron Rodgers

YouTube star and boxer Jake Paul claims that he did ayahuasca with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers back in 2020.
Aaron Rodgers has been the talk of the NFL offseason as he contemplated what to do for the 2023 season — play for the Green Bay Packers, play for a new team, or retire. He went into a “darkness retreat” to reach a decision, and he did so. It was to play for the New York Jets.
Rodgers has spoken openly about his use of holistic remedies, notably saying on “The Aubrey Marcus Podcast” that he took ayahuasca tea, a psychedelic that contains the hallucinogen dimethyltryptamine (DMT), which alters a person’s senses, emotions, and thinking, as a way to improve his mental health during a trip to Peru in 2020.
YouTube personality and boxer Jake Paul claimed in a FOX News Digital interview that he had actually done ayahuasca with Rodgers.
Jake Paul claims he took ayahuasca with Aaron Rodgers
“Aaron and I were actually together when we did the ayahuasca,” Paul said, h/t FOX News. “He’s more publicly known for speaking about it, but I was actually there with him when we did it. We spent the week there doing it. Definitely share that similarity in terms of spirituality and reflecting and going into the deepest parts of the mind. Definitely have been doing some of that.”
In that very interview, Paul also said that he is considering going on a “darkness retreat” like Rodgers did.
“It’s funny, I was planning on doing the darkness retreat later this year,” Paul said.
Rodgers claimed that ayahuasca helped him win NFL MVP awards in the 2020 and 2021 seasons and become a better teammate.
This past season, the Packers just missed out on making the playoffs, and Rodgers didn’t win the NFL MVP for the third-consecutive season. That was when Rodgers publicly said that he would be contemplating what to do in regards to his playing career.
He admitted during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he entered his “darkness retreat” heavily leaning towards retirement. But after leaving, and in the ensuing days, Rodgers revealed that his intent was to play for the Jets.
The Jets met with Rodgers after receiving permission from the Packers ahead of his announcement. Even though he revealed his intent, the Jets and Packers need to come to an agreement on trade terms. As of this writing, there is still no timetable as to when the two sides will be able to finalize a deal.
Rodgers has spoken openly about his use of ayahuasca, and now Paul is claiming that he was taking it with him.
