San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle provided the assist to help former NFL punter Pat McAfee win his match at WrestleMania 39.

Saturday, Apr. 1 was the first official night of WWE WrestleMania 39, being held at SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers. While championships were defended and titles changed hands, there was an NFL crossover at the show, and it involved none other than San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle.

At WrestleMania, former NFL punter and sports media star Pat McAfee made an appearance to answer the open challenge by former two-time WWE champion The Miz. During the match, The Miz tried to walk out of the match, and was ridiculed by Kittle, sitting at ringside. The Miz shoved Kittle, giving the 49ers tight end incentive to jump the barricade and dish out a wicked clothesline.

Kittle helped bring The Miz back into the ring, allowing McAfee to get the win after hitting a punt to the upper body.

Kittle is a big-time wrestling fan, as he is spotted sitting ringside at a variety of different shows. He was actually at WrestleMania 38 last year in Dallas, Texas.

Not to mention, Kittle uses the “cero miedo” hand gesture used by All Elite Wrestling star and current Ring of Honor tag team champion Penta el Zero Miedo. In fact, Penta El Zero Miedo provided Kittle with a 49ers-themed luchador match at the 49ers’ game in Mexico this past season.

But now, this is the first time that Kittle got physical on WWE television. Notice that he sported a “Tight End University” tank top.

After this appearance by Kittle, one has to wonder when he will have his first official professional wrestling match, joining the likes of McAfee, Lawrence Taylor, D’Angelo Williams, and William “The Refrigerator” Perry.
