NFL Rumors: 4 potential trades for Patriots QB Mac Jones

Trade No. 2: Mac Jones heads to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Life after Tom Brady isn’t easy. Just ask these Patriots. They know firsthand just how difficult it can be to rebound after losing the greatest quarterback this league has ever seen. For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, their quarterback room doesn’t look awful, by any means.
But, are they set up for success now and in the future? We don’t quite know the answer to that, yet. Right now, they have newly-signed and former first overall pick Baker Mayfield as their should-be starter. Additionally, former second-round pick Kyle Trask is in the room, but he hasn’t gotten a shot just yet. Do the Bucs believe in either of these guys enough?
In this trade, the Bucs would deal their second rounder this year, coming in at No. 50, along with a third rounder next year, in order to acquire Jones. From there, it would be a training camp competition between Mayfield and Jones to see who ends up starting. Unfortunately for Trask, that would put him at No. 3 on the depth chart.
