Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani now has a new feat he needs to accomplish, based on what this college baseball player did.

Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels has become the biggest superstar in MLB. That is because he has the ability to send baseballs out of stadiums, and can put up unreal numbers as a starting pitcher. Ohtani has accomplished a lot and made history in his five-plus years in the league. But, he has a new feat that he has to accomplish.

On Friday, University of Indianapolis’ Brady Ware threw a complete game no-hitter and hit for the cycle in the same game!

Ware pitched seven full innings, where he struck out a total of 11 batters from the Drury University Panthers. At the plate, Ware went 4-for-4, knocked in five runs, and scored two of his own in the 14-0 victory. This was the second game of a doubleheader.

University of Indianapolis’ Brady Ware hits for the cycle and throws no-hitter in same game

What an impressive feat by Ware, a graduate student at University of Indianapolis. This is the first time a player on the Greyhounds threw a no-hitter since Jordan Tackett did so back in 2015, and the first to hit for the cycle since Jake Hartley did so in 2013, per UIndy’s athletic’s official website.

With this game in the books, he has now recorded a 2.76 ERA, 26 strikeouts and 11 walks in 16.1 innings pitched (seven games pitched). In 22 games as a hitter, Ware recorded a .329 batting average, a .466 on-base percentage, a .614 slugging percentage, four home runs, 22 RBI, 23 runs scored, and 23 hits. These stats come courtesy of UIndy’s athletics’ official website.

Now, the baseball world awaits to see if someone can accomplish what Ware did on Friday — throw a no-hitter and hit for the cycle in the same game. We have a feeling we’ll be waiting a while for someone to be able to do what Ware did.
