The Atlanta Hawks struggled to compete with the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series, and they really want to avoid falling behind 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Dejounte Murray was arguably the best Hawk on Saturday (although he shot just 10-for-25), as the team failed to clear 100 points.

Boston is built for the postseason, and so is one player on the squad as a rebounder. I have that prop and another for Murray in my best picks:

Hawks vs. Celtics best NBA prop bets

  • Dejounte Murray OVER 29.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
  • Jaylen Brown OVER 6.5 Rebounds

Dejounte Murray OVER 29.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

I doubt that we see Murray take 25 shots again in Game 2, but he did put up 38 points, rebounds and assists in Game 1.

Quin Snyder may want to ride his former All-Star guard more in Game 2 with the possibility of falling behind 2-0 on the table, and Murray has been around this number all year in terms of PRA.

On the season, Murray averages 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game (31.9 PRA).

He also cleared this number in five of his final 10 games of the regular season. The key is going to be scoring, as Murray is averaging just 19.0 points per game since Feb. 28, but if he pushes 20 points, he should easily go OVER this number based on his Game 1 usage.

Jaylen Brown OVER 6.5 Rebounds

I recommended this bet in Game 1 and it smashed with Brown grabbing 12 rebounds in 37 minutes for Boston.

This isn’t something new. Brown was terrific on the glass in the playoffs last season, averaging 6.9 per game and going over 6.5 boards in 13 of his 24 playoff games.

Over the last two playoff runs that Brown has been healthy for (he missed 2021 with an injury), he has averaged 7.5 and 6.9 rebounds per game.

The Hawks shot terribly in Game 1 and may be due for some positive regression, but Brown is a bargain at 6.5 rebounds after grabbing 12 in the series opener.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
