2. Los Angeles Clippers

Another team that was linked to acquiring the services of Kyrie Irving six years ago, the Los Angeles Clippers still find themselves in need of a franchise point guard. Yes, the Clippers just signed Russell Westbrook, but it was only a one-year agreement. Not to mention, Westbrook is 34 years old.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Clippers will re-sign Westbrook this offseason. They have not openly made any commitment to him beyond the rest of this season. The Clips have shown a willingness to move off of failed experiments sooner than later. John Wall only lasted 34 games before being traded.

Similar to the Heat, the Clippers do not have a lot of cap space to work with this offseason. However, they have players and contracts of value that could help make it easier to shed some salary in an attempt to lure Kyrie Irving. Players such as Norman Powell, Eric Gordon, Robert Covington, and Terance Mann can all be traded if needed.

Since acquiring both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in 2019, the Clippers have been to the Western Conference Finals just once. A far cry from the expectations set forth by the franchise, fans, players, and media alike.

Would Kyrie Irving be enough to finally help this team get over the hump?
