The Miami Heat pulled off an upset in Game 1 of their first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, but it came at a price.

Former Sixth Man of the Year Tyler Herro broke his hand in the contest, ruling him out for the rest of the series and potentially the rest of Miami’s postseason.

When is Tyler Herro Coming back for the Miami Heat?

Herro is expected to miss four to six weeks with his broken hand, making the earliest he could return in mi-May, meaning Miami may have to make the Conference Finals for him to play this postseason.

The Heat have jumped in their odds to win the series and the NBA Finals, but the Bucks are still favored in the first round with Herro sidelined.

Heat’s odds to upset Bucks in first round

The Heat won Game 1 against Milwaukee, but it helped that Giannis Antetokounmpo (lower back) left the game and did not return after playing just 11 minutes.

It seems like he will be able to return for the remainder of the series based on these odds while the Heat are 100 percent without Herro for this series.

Miami has made the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the last three seasons, but oddsmakers aren’t sold on the Heat doing that without Herro.

Heat’s championship odds following Tyler Herro injury

The Heat have jumped up to +8000 to win the NBA Finals, but one has to think they’d be higher had Herro not gone down.

The Heat now have home court advantage in this series, and the team has shown time and time again that it is dangerous in the playoffs.

However, losing Herro’s 20.0 points per game is going to be tough to replace. Erik Spoelstra will likely turn to a combination of Duncan Robinson, Victor Oladipo and more minutes for Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and Caleb Martin to try to replace Herro.
