Yesterday, I put together my first MLB parlay of the season and we got off to a very hot start. We didn’t swing for the fences with a three-legger that got us to +388 in the FanDuel Sportsbook, but to start the year 1-for-1 with a double into the gap is not bad at all.

We could try to hunt for a little more value today, but I’m not going to get greedy on a Tuesday either.

There are a couple of earlier games getting underway and a nice double-header in Chicago to give us plenty of options to choose from today. Here are my three favorites.

These bets get to us +498 in the FanDuel Sportsbook.

MLB parlay picks today

  • Phillies ML vs. White Sox (Game 1)
  • Rangers ML vs. Royals
  • Twins vs. Red Sox OVER 8.5

Phillies vs. White Sox (Game 1) prediction and pick

Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos of the Phillies have both been crushing fastballs this season and in the first game of this double-header in Chicago, Lance Lynn is on the mound for the White Sox.

Lynn throws his fastball 40% of the time and is allowing an .895 slugging percentage on the pitch. I think the Phillies offense carries them.

Rangers vs. Royals prediction and pick

I went to this well yesterday, taking the Rangers as road favorites in KC with deGrom pitching. Tonight it’s Nathan Eovaldi who has a 6.32 ERA to this point.

However, Eovaldi has been incredibly unlucky with a .444 BABIP despite being 87th percentile in barrel rate. The Royals tagged him when they faced off last week, but they’ll have a very tough time against the Texas’s other offseason addition to their rotation.

Twins vs. Red Sox prediction and pick

Chris Sale vs. Sonny Gray is a 2015 wet dream, but in 2023 it doesn’t really get the blood pumping the same way.

Gray has a sub-one ERA so far this season, but his expected ERA is 3.15, so regression is coming his way at some point. Chris Sale on the other hand is praying for positive regression to improve his ERA that is well north of 10. He won’t struggle that badly all season, but Sale isn’t close to the pitcher he once was.
