Trash-talking Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks took a beating on Twitter as the Lakers blocked his shots and NBA fans trolled his poor play.

Dillon Brooks is persona non grata at crypto.com Arena after the comments he made about LeBron James after Game 2. It turns out, calling the Lakers star “old” and proclaiming a lack of respect unless he dropped 40 wasn’t taken to kindly by fans in LA.

In Game 3, Brooks was the subject of ridicule as he was ejected and James’ Lakers absolutely demolished the Grizzlies. In Game 4, the scoreline was much closer but the derision reserved specifically for Brooks was still off the charts.

Every miss, and there were plenty of those, was a celebration for the Lakers crowd. NBA Twitter lost it when Brooks had a shot blocked and then badly airballed a three-point attempt.

NBA Twitter loves to laugh at Dillon Brooks

Brooks had a rough outing in Game 3, going 3-of-13 from the field and 1-of-5 from beyond the arc. If he had his sights set on turning things around in Game 4, it didn’t exactly turn out that way. He started the outing 2-of-7 from the field and 0-of-4 from three-point distance.

It’s safe to say that after the better part of two games since Brooks opened his very own can of worms, he hasn’t been able to back up any of his trash talk. Instead, he’s made himself the laughing stock of the NBA Playoffs.
