Thursday night of the 2023 NFL Draft live from Kansas City should be absolute chaos.

Nothing will be shocking when it comes to the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday night.

Although drafts never go according to plan, it is in their nature to be chaotic, we have been due for an absolutely unhinged three-day weekend celebrating all that is great about the NFL. Kansas City should be a fantastic host for the draft. The Power and Light District should be more electrifying than anything on god’s green earth this weekend. The bigger question is are you ready for all this?

As one team put it to James Palmer of The NFL Network over the weekend, “Thursday is going to be insane. No one knows what’s going to happen this year.”

We have already seen the Carolina Panthers trade up eight spots from No. 9 to No. 1 in a blockbuster deal with the Chicago Bears. If that pre-draft trade set the tone, then let’s go, dude!

Expect the unexpected when it comes to this weekend’s 2023 NFL Draft

To say that we have collectively micro-analyzed everything that is sure to come on Thursday night would be a gross understatement. Then again, we don’t have a consensus No. 1 pick. It should be Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, but he is not 6-foot-3 and Frank Reich likes his dudes tall. We have top overall prospect in Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter carrying his weight in baggage…

With almost certainly five quarterbacks going in the top 31 because no, there aren’t 32 first-round picks this year because the Miami Dolphins sold their soul for a potential date with Tom Brady, this thing is going to go to hell in a handbasket before the sun sets on Kaw Point. The other thing we know is NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will get booed off the stage and something will go viral.

Ultimately, we wouldn’t have it any other way. It is utterly fantastic that a great NFL city like Kansas City, who will never get to host a Super Bowl, be able to host the draft, as the home of the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, nonetheless. This will be as chaotic as when the Cincinnati Bengals drafted Joe Burrow live from Goodell’s basement. Good times? Good times!

May your favorite team make all the right moves and your rivals screw themselves over massively.
