2023 NFL Draft: Official Draft Week full two-round mock

OT. New York Jets. Broderick Jones. 15. player. 30.

Thanks to the trade they made with the Green Bay Packers for Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets fall back two spots in the first round. The move does not change much, as the Jets have a significant need at the offensive tackle spot, and Broderick Jones is still available in the middle of Day 1.

Jones is a plug-and-play starter at the next level, and if Rodgers is going to lead the Jets back to the playoffs for the first time in forever, they must bolster the line in front of him. Many feel Jones is the best offensive tackle prospect in this draft class, and with the Jets, he becomes an anchor on a young offensive line.

Darnell Wright. 16. player. 58. . OT. Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are a team that you would think would be in play for a quarterback this draft season, but it appears they are keen on sticking with Sam Howell in 2023. Howell made one starter for Washington last season and did well in a win over the Dallas Cowboys, so it is his job to lose entering camp.

To make sure that Howell continues to mature into a legitimate franchise quarterback, the Commanders have to bolster the offensive line. Darnell Wright can come in and be the team’s left tackle on Day 1, giving Howell a guy to protect his blindside in 2023, and in the future.
