3 strangest players we ever saw in a Miami Dolphins uniform

The Miami Dolphins play in one of the most desirable markets in the NFL. That’s led to stars choosing them as a destination city. It’s also led to some very strange connections for some of the biggest names in the sport.
Just this past offseason, the Miami Dolphins made a trade with the Los Angeles Rams to acquire Jalen Ramsey, one of the best cornerbacks in the history of the league. It will be weird seeing Ramsey in a Dolphins uniform, just like it’s still a little weird seeing Tyreek Hill in that same teal and orange. However, they are nowhere near the strangest players to wear Dolphins’ colors.
Throughout history, players have gravitated to South Florida. There are plenty of perks. Florida is a no-tax state. It’s one of the biggest party cities in the world. It has spring and summer weather throughout the football season. On top of all that, plenty of players already have homes in Florida. So, it’s led to some big-money players making Miami their destination.
It doesn’t always work out. That’s led to some very odd players in South Florida. Whether it’s trade, free agent signing, or a strange draft pick, there are a lot of players who just look odd after joining the Dolphins.
Strangest Miami Dolphins of all time: 3. Bernie Kosar
In 1995, the Miami Dolphins had a Super Bowl Champion start at quarterback. Of course, we know that quarterback was not Dan Marino (although he did start 14 games that season). Former Cleveland Browns great (and Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl champ) Bernie Kosar started two games for the Dolphins. It was part of his two-year retirement tour with the Dolphins.
Kosar was a star at the University of Miami. He was still beloved there, even if he was on the wrong side of the Hail Flutie. He still owned a home during his signing in nearby Broward County, so it was a natural fit.
It’s strange to talk about the end of Kosar’s career. He was just 30 years old at the time of his Dolphins signing. Some argue he could have been a starter for more seasons, but he played his two seasons in Miami and called it a career. Still, to this day, it does not look right to see him there.
