Chiefs draft grades: Oklahoma OT Wanya Morris

Round 3, Pick 92

After a luxury pick and a reach, the Chiefs addressed a serious position of need with Wanya Morris in the third round.

This pick made a whole lot of sense. Morris was a 27-game starter in college seeing playing time at both right and left tackle. At a long-armed 6-foot-5, 307 pounds, he has good enough size for the position. He also spent the last two years learning his craft from Oklahoma offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, who produced Trent Williams and Lane Hohnson, among other pro linemen like current Chiefs center Creed Humphrey.

Morris should immediately compete with Lucas Niang for the starting right tackle job left vacant by Andrew Wylie.
