Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill talked all kinds of smack about his former team, but the Dolphins won’t come to Arrowhead this season.

Yes, the Chiefs will face off against the Miami Dolphins this season, but rather than Tyreek Hill playing his former team at his former home, it’ll instead be in Germany. While that’s entertaining for international NFL fans, it doesn’t exactly do the game justice.

Kansas City football fans would have appreciated the opportunity to either boo hill, or welcome him back with open arms. Certain members of the KC secondary will still get the chance to stick it to Hill for all the smack talk he’s aimed their way, but it won’t be the same if not in front of their own fans. If anything, this feels like a win for Miami.

NFL misses opportunity with Chiefs vs. Dolphins

“Tyreek’s been talking a lot of trash. He’s been talking a lot about coming back to Arrowhead. We’ll show him when he gets here,” Sneed said on NFL Network Tuesday, prior to when the game was announced. “I don’t really get into it, but I take notes of what he said. I’ve been on the internet and I see what he’s saying. We’ll see once he comes to Arrowhead.”

But what is Sneed referring to? Previously, Hill vowed to be Chiefs Kingdom’s worst enemy in their 2023 matchup. That can still prove true, but it just won’t be in their own backyard.

“Chiefs Kingdom, when the Miami Dolphins come to Arrowhead Stadium this year, guess what we gonna do?” Hill said. “Guess what we gonna do? I hate to say it, man. I hate to throw up the peace sign against y’all. I hate to do it, but guess what? I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day. I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day.”

Either way, this should be a heated matchup. Hill going up against his former team, especially after running his mouth, is bound to have some emotion behind it. It’ll just be taking place at a neutral site game across the globe. Awesome.
