Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams sounds like he regrets being traded to Sin City, away from the comforts of Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers.

Much has happened since Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders last offseason. Adams put up strong numbers in his first year in Sin City, with another 100-catch campaign for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Adams has established himself as one of the best wide receivers in football, with or without Aaron Rodgers. Now, he’ll have to do the same without one of his best friends in Derek Carr. Carr, a Fresno State product, was one of the reasons Adams welcomed a trade to the Raiders in the first place.

With Jimmy Garoppolo as his quarterback — a pretty reasonable downgrade from Adams’ perspective — the veteran wide receiver doesn’t sound too happy.

Raiders: Davante Adams doesn’t sound happy in Las Vegas

“They (the front office) think this is the best bet for us right now to put us in a position to be urgent. We don’t see eye-to-eye on what we think is best for us right now,” Adams said, per The Ringer. “If we play a certain brand of ball, I can get [Garoppolo] to conform to whatever. But if we use him a certain type of way, then it’s going to make it tough for us to maximize who we should be this year.”

Adams doesn’t sound happy about the Raiders long-term vision. With Carr, he was playing with a former Pro Bowler and MVP candidate. Not to mention, it was one of his best friends. That made leaving a future Hall of Famer like Aaron Rodgers all the more tolerable.

Now, with Rodgers traded to the New York Jets — a move the Raiders reportedly did not consider despite his connection with Adams — one has to wonder what the hell happened to this former dynamic duo?

Either way, Adams isn’t happy. That much is clear.
