Ndamukong Suh plans to take his sweet time in figuring out where he will play this NFL season.

At this point of Ndamukong Suh’s illustrious NFL career, he has earned every right to pick and choose where he wants to go.

The best thing to happen to Nebraska football since Tommie Frazier is heading into his age-36 season out of Lincoln. The five-time Pro Bowler has played for the Detroit Lions, the Miami Dolphins, the Los Angeles Rams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and most recently the Philadelphia Eagles in his hall-of-fame-worthy career. He has also made bank every step of the way as well…

Here is what Suh had to say about his plans to sign in his NFL free agency during the later stages of the offseason. He is doing guest analyst work on NFL Total Access through Thursday this week.

"“I have no desire to be in a training camp. I will come in and watch and look and give some advice, but when Week 1 happens, I’ll be ready.”"

Despite being an absolute freak athlete in his prime, Suh has always been one step ahead of the curve in the grander scheme of things intellectually. Why else is he dipping his toes into media?

NFL rumors: Ndamukong Suh plans to sign with an NFL team after training camp

Warren Buffett’s favorite NFL player should be playing for somebody heading into year 14 out of Nebraska. He has always been somewhat of an ad-libber within the context of a play. Suh will take plays off alright, but his instinctive nature for the defensive tackle position is a big reason why he has had such great staying power in the league well beyond his prime. He can help somebody win.

Suh already won a Super Bowl with the 2020 Buccaneers and has played for winning teams, outside of that three-year complete and total cash grab in Miami. He is a college football legend and was one of the most polarizing players in the NFL in his heyday. He has invested well and has evolved into one of the most well-rounded individuals in the game today. His career will end soon.

It feels like a year-to-year proposition for Suh at this point. He could conceivably re-up with the title-contending Eagles, or he may look to pick up a sixth jersey in his pro career. Either way, we should expect for Suh to be methodical and calculated in where he wants to play next. He doesn’t need the money, but why would you not want to play in the NFL if you still feel a calling to do so?

One would think though that Suh could conceivably retire on top as a two-time Super Bowl champ.
