The Las Vegas Aces and Connecticut Sun have the two best records at this point in the WNBA season, with Connecticut winning three straight to move to 6-1 on the season.

The Aces (6-0) are the only undefeated team left in the league. Las Vegas’ numbers are absurd to start this season, leading the league in net rating (+21.0), offensive rating (110.4) and defensive rating (89.4).

That’s what happens when A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Candace Parker, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray are all on the same team together.

Still, Connecticut has a balanced attack of its own, with four different players averaging double figures, led by DeWanna Bonner.

The Sun are home dogs in this game, but are oddsmakers undervaluing this Aces super team? Here are my thoughts and the odds for this game:

Aces vs. Sun prediction and pick

Las Vegas has three double-digit wins and four wins by nine or more points heading into this matchup.

However, the team’s last two games against the Atlanta Dream and Indiana Fever were decided by five and four points. They key in those games? The Aces were on the road.

Still, I think this is a spot where I’d bet the Aces or nothing, even against a strong Connecticut team.

Las Vegas’ last two games are a product of poor 3-point shooting (10-for-42 across the two games). That’s very unlike a team that despite those matchups is still shooting 35.1 percent from beyond the arc on the season.

Connecticut is fifth in the league in defensive rating, sixth in offensive rating and fourth in net rating, playing a ton of close games so far outside of a 16-point loss to the New York Liberty.

I have concerns about the Connecticut offense keeping up since the team ranks 11th in 3-point percentage this season and lacks the elite scoring that the Aces have in their starting lineup.

I’ll lay the 5.5 points with the league’s best team on Tuesday.
