Today’s USMNT rumors include Tyler Adams being linked with Nottingham Forest, Jesse Marsch in contention for the Celtic job and Brian Gutierrez on Manchester United’s radar.

USMNT rumors: Tyler Adams to Nottingham Forest

Tyler Adams needs to get out of Leeds United who will be playing in the Championship next season. Adams has been linked with some top clubs in the Premier League including Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal.

Nottingham Forest is also in the running to sign the USMNT midfielder. According to The Daily Mail, Forest “have already held meetings about who they could target next. Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is one of the names under consideration.”

Forest survived relegation last season by sticking with Steve Cooper as manager. This is a very good look for the club as it shows continuity. However, their transfer policy last summer was anything but this. They signed 29 players and have recently released six of them.

The signing of Adams would be a statement that the club are looking to build on their 16th-place finish last season. The American was instrumental for Leeds when he was fit. While bigger clubs are interested in Adams, they might not take the gamble due to his injury record.

USMNT rumors: Jesse Marsch to Celtic

Ange Postecoglou has left Celtic to join Tottenham Hotspur. There was talk that Jesse Marsch would be a good fit to replace the Australian at the Scottish champions due to his style of play.

Now Sky Sports have reported that “Celtic have already begun working on Postecoglou’s potential successor, with Brendan Rodgers and Jesse Marsch two names in the frame.”

Rodgers returning to Celtic might not be a popular move as he left them midway through the season in 2019 to take over at Leicester City. However, the Northern Irishman did have great success with the Hoops where he won the Scottish Premiership twice.

Marsch has been linked with Celtic in the past but he is also in contention to be the next manager of AS Monaco. Taking over at the Ligue 1 club would be difficult to turn down. There is also the possibility that Marsch could be the next head coach of the USMNT.

USMNT rumors: Brian Gutierrez to Manchester United

At just 19 years old, Brian Gutierrez has already played 71 times for the Chicago Fire in MLS. The young American is a great prospect for the future and he has been linked with many clubs in Europe.

The Daily Mail has revealed that Manchester United, Rangers, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig and Girona are all interested in the player. However, the paper also said that “it is felt that sealing a work permit in the UK for the player may be difficult.” So a move to one of the German or Italian clubs might be his best bet.

Gutierrez is yet to play for the USMNT but has represented their U20 side seven times. He was not allowed to go to the U20 World Cup in Argentine due to his importance to the Fire.
