Ohio State football schedule for 2024 and 2025 revealed

The Ohio State football schedule for 2024 and 2025 was officially released with the Buckeyes getting a relatively generous draw in the new Big Ten.

With USC and UCLA joining the Big Ten, the conference had to rethink its scheduling model. The result was doing away with divisions and introducing a flex scheduling system that will have each Big Ten member playing all of the others at least once every two years.

Ohio State has just one protected rival: Michigan. The Buckeyes will face the Wolverines every year, no matter what.

The first cycle of the flex schedule will also include home and away meetings with Illinois and Northwestern in 2024 and 2025.

As for the 2024 schedule, the Buckeyes are set up for success. They avoided a Year 1 matchup with USC and UCLA, but will have to go on the road to face Oregon. They also host Michigan at home with Penn State representing their most difficult road challenge.

The 2025 schedule is more difficult to nail down because it’s incomplete. The Buckeyes still need to lock in a third out of conference opponent. However, they’ll face battles with Texas and USC at the Shoe while facing Michigan on the road.
