Stefon Diggs was absent from the Buffalo Bills mandatory minicamp. Josh Allen spoke to some looming issues between the two.

The relationship between Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and the rest of the Buffalo Bills offense is paramount to their success this coming season. So far, that hasn’t gone according to plan, as Diggs didn’t show up to mandatory minicamp on Tuesday afternoon.

Diggs doesn’t appear to be unhappy with his contract, as he’s in the second year of a $96 million extension. Per his agent, the star wide receiver was present at the team facility on Monday and Tuesday morning, but left prior to practice.

“I’m not gonna get into it,” Sean McDermott said. “Look, I respect everyone’s questions and what they want to know about our team. Right now, I’m just not gonna get into that anymore.”

Why is Stefon Diggs unhappy with Bills?

Buffalo and Diggs representation has remained vague about what is bothering the star wide receiver. Diggs was clearly unhappy after his team’s postseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and was cryptic as to his future all offseason.

"“It doesn’t make sense. I’ll rack my brain with this s**t at this point. I think it’s more execution than anything. S**t is small little pieces on why it’s not going right. We’ve got the players. We’ve got the plays. Why s**t ain’t coming together? That’s where you draw some of those questions. I never want to question who I am, I never want to question how I am. I’m giving this s**t everything I’ve got. I’m dying on the hill for that.”"

Bills: Josh Allen takes responsibility for Stefon Diggs feud

“I think we’re just, as an organization, maybe not communicating the right way with everything,” Allen said. “So again, just trying to talk and listen at the same time and hear him out. And like I said, just try to move this forward as quickly and as respectfully as possible.”

Allen did not get into specifics, which was likely wise as it only would have angered Diggs more.
