AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 start time, match card, live stream, and how to watch
By Scott Rogust
AEW and NJPW present their second-ever Forbidden Door pay-per-view special on Sunday, June 25, live from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Last year, All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling joined forces to present a joint pay-per-view special, Forbidden Door, with fans having the chance to watch some dream matches. While the first special as a whole was a success, the card was hindered by a variety of injuries.
Well, Forbidden Door is returning on Sunday, June 25, live from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. To say this year’s card is stacked is a massive understatement.
There are two headlining matches. Kenny Omega defends his IWGP United States championship against the man he won it off of back at Wrestle Kingdom 17 this past January, Will Ospreay. Can the two stars top their “Match of the Year” candidate? Then, there’s a dream match between two of the best wrestlers in the world, Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada.
Besides those two matches, there are other strong bouts, including MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry challenging Sanada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk facing Satoshi Kojima in the Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament quarterfinals, and much more.
