When is the preseason AP Top 25 released?

College football fans eagerly anticipate the release date of the preseason AP Top 25 poll.

Until the College Football Playoff Selection Committee gets together, college football fans wait in anticipation for the AP Top 25 poll to come out.

Before we get to the famed preseason college football rankings, we know that we’ll get to see what the USA Today Coaches Poll will look like.

As always thereafter, it will be interesting to see what the college football media does when assembling its own top 25. As we await the AP Top 25 poll to be released, we can debate the teams that should be involved. But we have some time until then.

Preseason AP Top 25 poll release date for 2023 college football season

The AP Top 25 will come out on Monday, Aug. 15 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

This will be the top 25 that most fans will naturally gravitate to. When we look at all the games on the horizon Labor Day Weekend, these will be the rankings that will be featured ahead of each Week 1 game. Until the first College Football Playoff rankings come out, these top 25 polls will serve as our guiding light.

Defending champion Georgia will be near the top of the top 25 when it’s released, and in some order behind the Bulldogs will be a combination of the Michigan Wolverines, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida State Seminoles and the USC Trojans. It’s going to be a fun spot to be a part of.
