Dallas Goedert isn’t mincing words about what he and the Philadelphia Eagles offense will produce during the 2023 NFL season.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first Super Bowl appearance since the 2017-18 season, and tight end Dallas Goedert means business as September and the 2023 NFL season draw closer.

During a recent episode of ‘Pardon My Take,’ Goedert, who finished with 55 receptions for 702 yards and three touchdowns, gave some insight into the frustration defenses would go through when Philadelphia and multi-faceted quarterback, Jalen Hurts, would run the quarterback sneak.

“Oh, they hated it,” Goedert said. “Every time. They’d call us pu***es. Call us soft. Tell us, ‘Run a real play.’ And we’re like, ‘Well, don’t give us 3rd/4th & 1.’ I don’t know how you do stop it.”

How good were the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Goedert last season?

Philly had one of the best offenses in football a season ago, as the team went 14-3 and averaged 28.1 points per game. Because of their versatility, Hurts also had arguably his best season-to-date, throwing for over 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns. Hurts nearly had the MVP award locked up before suffering a shoulder injury in a late-season road win against the Chicago Bears.

Despite the injury, Hurts, Goedert, and the rest of the team rallied together to earn the NFC’s No. 1 seed and earn home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Eagles’ playoff run included routs of the Giants and 49ers before starting across from eventual champion Kansas City.

Although the Eagles lost a heartbreaker in the final seconds, 38-35, it is not out of the realm of possibility for them to return to the Super Bowl again. According to ESPN, the Eagles Super Bowl odds sit at +750 as of Thursday morning.

The Eagles open the regular season on Sept. 10 in the late window of Week 1 at 4:25 p.m. ET against the New England Patriots in Foxboro on CBS.
