Linn Grant made quite an entrance among LPGA winners with four spectacular rounds at the 2023 Dana Open, finishing with a 21-under score and shooting a 68 on the final day.

Linn Grant pulled off the win, maintaining her lead on the final day of the LPGA Dana Open, with four birdies and only one bogey for a three-under score on the final day at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio. But it was the four days of exceptional play that enthralled fans and had her almost equaling the record low score in the tournament’s history on Saturday.

Grant ended up with 62 in the third round, with electric eight birdies and an even more thrilling eagle on the 11th hole that day in Sylvania, Ohio. The 62, however, sits as the lowest score of the year. Three more birdies would have tied her for the record at 59 for the event. No matter, it gave her the six shot lead she needed to begin the final day with confidence.

Another massive talent from Sweden, the five-time Ladies European Tour winner made quite a sensation in her first year on the LPGA Tour in 2022, clocking in four Top 10’s while playing only six events in her inaugural season.

In just her second year on the LPGA Tour, she has secured her first title, where she maintained a healthy lead even as former U.S. Open Champion Allisen Corpuz gave chase, with a stunning run on the back nine, hitting five birdies, finishing up with panache with two on the last two holes. Corpuz also finished with bogey-free, in second place with 18-under.

Even with players such as American Lindy Duncan chasing down the leader with four birdies on the back nine—adding to her seven total for the day—Grant held strong, even if she played it safer than she had during her first three days, including a bogey-free, seven-birdie first round that set the standard.

“It was a big goal coming into this year,” said Grant, who is guaranteed to make the European Solheim Cup team, according to Golf Week. “Obviously, since I played well on the LET last year, I knew if I just continued to play my game I would be there in September. And I guess it’s even more clear now.”

Grant’s win also comes with a $262,500 winner’s check.

The next major on the women’s tour is next week, the Evian Championship, at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-Les-Bains, France, beginning July 20.
