Kenny Clark is absolutely loving the fact his Green Bay Packers are being slept on this season.

For the first time in quite a while, the Green Bay Packers face virtually no expectations entering an NFL season.

No doubt about it. It’s wild, right? For 30 years, the Packers got hall-of-fame quarterback play, first from Brett Favre and then from Aaron Rodgers. Even if Jordan Love lives up to his draft hype, it would be unprecedented to see him make it three in a row. Regardless, his teammate Kenny Clark is loving the idea that nobody outside of Green Bay is believing in the Packers this season.

Clark appeared on CBS Radio with Zach Gelb to discuss the upcoming season ahead for them.

"“One hundred percent, but that’s cool. I like it that way. This has been one of the first offseasons where we ain’t really been getting the credit, getting the love. Everybody says Aaron (Rodgers) determines whether we win or lose, so we love it. We’re going to embrace it. When it comes to Week 1, when the season gets here, we’ll see how everything stacks up. We’re excited about it.”"

Clearly, this is all about the change of guard at the quarterback position from Rodgers to Love.

Simply put, what is it going to take for the Packers to shock the league and win the NFC North?

Besides playing the ‘nobody believes in us’ card, there are a handful of things working in Green Bay’s favor. I mean, one, Love is a former first-round pick out of Utah State. Yes, it has been a while since his sensational sophomore year in Logan, but I still remember how great it was. Green Bay should be able to run the ball well with Aaron Jones. They also play in the weaker conference.

That, I think, is the biggest thing that serves them. Outside of the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, who do we know for sure will be good? There is a lot to like about the Detroit Lions, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks, but none of those teams won their division a year ago. Frankly, all the pressure is on Detroit this year to win the NFC North. Good luck!

Detroit and expectations go together like lamb and tuna fish. I mean, they haven’t won a division title since I could read, and I’m turning 34! As for the Minnesota Vikings, I keep getting the feeling that their general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah wants to blow it up more than Seamus Finnigan at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And then, there’s Chicago…

As long as Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles are working in Halas Hall, I’m out. I’m not sorry either. The Chicago Bears are. Anywho, Green Bay is on a list of maybe half a dozen or so teams in the NFC that can win anywhere between six and 11 games in the NFC. Not only will they be competing for the division, but for one of three wild card berths with the Los Angeles Rams and the NFC South.

Ultimately, the margin for victory and defeat in the NFL is razor-thin as is. So having an extra motivated defender like Clark playing with a boulder-sized chip on his shoulder could conceivably tip the scales. No, he is not worth a point in any spread Las Vegas could ever put out there, but all it takes is for enough of his Packers teammates to believe in themselves to steal a game or two.

For now, I would say I am more bullish on the Packers than I have been at any point this offseason.
