Today’s USMNT news is a Serie A special which includes Folarin Balogun being linked with Inter Milan. Christian Pulisic’s AC Milan faced off against a Juventus side that included Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie. Meanwhile, Yunus Musah is still holding out for a move to Milan.

USMNT news: Folarin Balogun to Inter Milan

Folarin Balogun has not featured for Arsenal since the MLS All-Star game. He has since been left on the bench against Manchester United and not involved completely in their fixture against Barcelona. Balogun is also now reportedly training on his own. It is clear that he needs to leave the Premier League side as Mikel Arteta favours Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah over him.

After impressing last season for Stade de Reims in Ligue 1, Balogun has been attracting interest from some of Europe’s top sides. According to the Independent, “Inter and AC Milan are facing off to try and sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, with the forward hugely interested by a move to Serie A.”

USMNT news: Christian Pulisic vs Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie

Juventus promoted their match against AC Milan at Dignity Health Sports Park on their official Instagram account as a boxing match between Christian Pulisic and Timothy Weah. However, they did not include fellow American Weston McKennie in the post.

McKennie’s future at Juve is still uncertain but he did start the game alongside Weah against Pulisic’s Milan. The match finished 2-2 with Pulisic’s corner leading to Milan’s second goal. All of the USMNT players had been subbed off before the penalty shootout which saw the Old Lady win 4-3.

USMNT news: Yunus Musah to AC Milan

Serie A seems to be the place to be for many USMNT players right now. Another American player, Yunus Musah, is still holding out for a move to AC Milan, where we could see him linking up with Christian Pulisic.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that “Musah position won’t change: he wants AC Milan and hopes for Valencia to reach an agreement and let him go as soon as possible. Valencia want €25m fee, AC Milan offered €18m fixed fee.”
